How the service works
When you call (508) 389-4045, dispatch takes the address and the problem and assigns a licensed plumber from our network. The plumber comes to your property, diagnoses the problem and gives you a price before work starts. You decide whether to go ahead.
We handle emergencies and planned work. A burst pipe at midnight and a water heater replacement booked for next week both go through the same dispatch line. Same-day appointments are available when the schedule allows.
Commercial customers use the same line. A restaurant on Route 9 with a grease problem or an office with a failed backflow device gets dispatched the way a homeowner does, and after-hours calls are part of the service instead of an exception.
What happens between your call and the repair
Dispatch asks where you are and what the problem looks like. We ask whether water is still moving, whether anyone smells gas, and whether you can reach the main shutoff, because those answers decide how urgent the call is.
A licensed plumber is then assigned and given your address and the notes from the call. The plumber confirms the problem on site, explains what failed, and lays out the repair options in plain language with a price for each.
You decide from there. If you approve, the work starts and the plumber tells you about anything unexpected before acting on it. If you decide not to go ahead, the plumber explains how to keep the problem contained until you are ready.
Licensing in Massachusetts and how to check it
Plumbing and gas fitting in Massachusetts are regulated by the Board of State Examiners of Plumbers and Gas Fitters. The board issues journeyman and master licenses and registers apprentices. Plumbing work is governed by 248 CMR 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, and fuel gas work by 248 CMR 4.00.
You do not have to take our word for any of this. The state publishes a check-a-license tool on mass.gov, and any plumber who comes to your door should be able to give you a license number you can look up in a minute.
Where we work
Our business address is 210 Turnpike Rd, Westborough, MA 01581, and our plumbers travel to you. We serve Westborough and nearby towns, with dedicated pages for Northborough, Southborough, Shrewsbury, Grafton and Hopkinton.
Westborough has older neighborhoods such as the Vintonville and West Main Street historic districts, newer subdivisions, and commercial corridors along Route 9 and Route 30. Each brings different pipe materials and different problems, which is why our service pages describe the causes by house age instead of giving one generic answer. A leak in a mill-era house and a leak in a recent subdivision rarely share the same cause, so the fix is rarely the same either.
Why Westborough's water matters to the work
Westborough's supply comes from nine groundwater wells and the Westboro Reservoir, and the town uses corrosion control chemistry and chlorine. Plumbers pay attention to that, because water chemistry affects how fixtures scale, how quickly a water heater collects sediment and which pipe problems appear first.
We do not publish a hardness number on this site, because the Westborough Water Department's annual water quality report is the right source and it changes from year to year. A house in Northborough or Southborough receives MWRA water instead, so the same plumbing question can have a different answer a few miles away.
What we will not do
Some limits are worth stating plainly, because they protect you.
- We do not respond to gas leaks by phone. Leave the building and call the gas utility or 911 first.
- We do not make health claims about drinking water. Testing for lead, PFAS or bacteria is done by a certified laboratory, and your water utility publishes its own reports.
- We do not design or service septic systems. That is a separate trade, and the Westborough Building Department can point you to the right local contacts.
- We do not quote repair prices for problems nobody has seen, because the number would be a guess.
How we handle your information
Calls may be recorded for quality and training purposes. We use the address and phone number you give us to dispatch the job and nothing else. The privacy policy covers the details, and the site has no forms, accounts or advertising cookies.
If you would rather write than call, you can email contact@proplumbingwestborough.com. For anything urgent, calling is faster, and the contact page has the address, hours and a map.
Plumbing problems are stressful enough without guessing who you are dealing with. Call (508) 389-4045 if you need a licensed plumber in Westborough, because dispatch is open now.
